  1. NCCA merchandise is everywhere! Everybody likes to wear there favorite college teams clothing. Its a multi billion dollar industry. If you not hip then you not rocking NCAA clothing boyyy. Not only is a multi billion dollar business but it also makes money for the teams thatr are letting them put out thier logos.

I think the most important eye opening point is making the clothing. If you make the clothes look good then they will buy it. If the material is bad then it wont sell. Buy the NCCA licensing will cost so much money! But if you buy it then will probaly make all that money back

  2. NCAA is everywhere. People are buying a lot of NCAA purchandise. Some people said they had $700 worth of NCAA clothes, another person said they had 30 shirts. Also he stated that he had about 10 hats of NCAA memorialibilia. Last year the NCAA made roughly about 3.8 billion dollars. They use the money from the revenue they get off of selling merchandise then they put it back into the NCAA program. They also use some of this money for advertising.
The most eye-opening thing was that they made 3.8 billion off of sales. This is crazy because players don't get a penny of this and they use the players faces, names and everything to advertise the NCAA. Even when they sell games, the players don't get ANY royalties. The biggest challenge for merchandise manufacturers are distributing the items. The biggest challenge for the companies buying the ncaa licensing rights is affordability. It costs so much to buy rights of the whole ncaa.

  3. In 2009 alone, the college fans accumulated 3.9 billion dollars in retail sales. Fans have spent up to 200 dollars in a weekend for a College event. The NCAA has licensed everything from baby bibs to caskets. It’s almost certain that anything you buy dealing with a college or university will be licensed by the NCAA. They say that the money is funneled into the school systems for scholarships and other things to help out the respected school. CLC says that the NCAA has generated 725 Million dollars in scholarships. They have a year round marketing program no matter the sport.
I feel the most eye-opening main point is the fact that almost everything is licensed by the NCAA. That means that even the college video games are licensed by the NCAA. They make so much money though the schools. I wonder how they control and keep track of how much money goes to each school. Someone would also have to check how much the NCAA keeps. The biggest challenge for merchandise manufactures and company’s buying the NCAA licensing rights is the cost. I’m sure it’s a ridicules amount of money they have to spend and on top of that the NCAA still gets a cut of the money made.

  4. the NCAA merchandise is all over the world for people to buy the jerseys of the favorite team and players on that team. the NCAA has a multi- billion dollar industry when it comes to the merchandise and stuff of the callaber. For the teams letting their logo on jerseys and different types of stuff like that it helps out the school and their program.

i think the most eye opening thing is how good the team is. if there good then they would get more people jumping on their bann wagon who really never watch College ball. it will also lead to more people buying their merchandise and more fans coming to their games.

  5. NCAA merchandise is all over the place. Fans of college teams have lots of merchandise and clothing, which was pointed out in the video, from their favorite teams. The fans generated 3.9 billion dollars in revenue in 2009. They are the backbone to the this industry. The money earned is also given back to the universities for various funds and scholarships.

I think clothing was the most important point made in the video. Along with people's alma mater or favorite college team, if you can make an item look good, it will most likely sell. I think the money to buy the merchandising rights is the biggest challenge. I feel in a multi-billion dollar industry, the price to retain these rights must be remarkably high.

  6. The NCAA basketbatball tournament is a multi-billion dollar industry! there are so many colleges that people can choose to support and buy their merchandise. Even though the tournament itself is big, it's actually the merchandise they sell on their way that makes the money. Also when a certain collge get very far in the tournament, it is the job of the producers to create more merchandise and promote them more. People everywhere have some sort of college merchandise such as clothing.

I think the most important is the merchandise. Since fans buy new clothes of their favorite college team all the time, it is the job of the creaters to keep up with the creativity. If its not creative and just plain, consumers usually will not buy that product. The creators of the product always put in catchy slogans or words that make the consumer want to buy it. As they were asking people about how much clothing they had of college, each said about 1/2 or a 1/4 which is a lot! Merchandise is very important to the NCAA industry, without it, they would not make as much money.

  7. This video shows hows the college sports industry is blowing up. You got everybody buying hsts, cloths, video games and other products. also they talk about the college sports industry being a multi billion dollar company. They are selling millions of products. its amazing how just having a team logo makes a product so big.
I think clothing is the most eye opening becuase you can do so many diffrent things like shirts hats pants and so much more. i think one of the biggest challenges is all the money ytou have to spend to make the stuff. If you dont sell as much as you thoiught then you not making a big profit.

  8. Where ever you go there is NCAA merchandise somewhere. People like to represent their favorite school, and it doesnt hurt that the sales go to help their school also. it is a great source of revenue for colleges. no matter what season there are always people in the markert for NCAA products. NCAA products are a multi billion dollar market and the majority of people that buy the clothes are women.

i think that the biggest eye opener is that the sales of merchandise helps the school. one important challenge that they face is the design of products. people want the products to be original and creative. they want somethin to show that they are a fan of such and such team. the licensing rights to produce products for a school is very expensive and you have to make sure you have products that will sell and pay you back what you spent.

  9. In the video of the NCAA sports they are talking about how it’s blown up ever since it has came out. Everyone that loves the game of basketball where’s their favorite teams clothing or me sort. It’s a multibillion dollar company that’s never going to in debt at all. They also get paid for wearing a brand name, because they are sponsoring that brands gear or whatever. This whole NCAA sports league is making money and I don’t see day where it’s going to stop.

The most eye opening appeal I think is the best is making the clothing, for the buyers to buy. If the clothes are attractive and nice then they are going to buy their money’s worth. If it’s not to their standards then they won’t buy it at all. So they plan on making sells to keep
    their stocks up.

  10. This video is about NCAA licensed merchandise. The NCAA liscenses all types of things like clothing, hats, pacifires, coffins, etc. If there is anything you are looking for you can probably find it with your team logo. Merchandise sales go up during march madness. If a school does well they will sell a lot more merchandise (VCU).

The most eye opening thing is all the different types of merchandise. NCAA licenses all types of things. People have entire wardrobes of clothing from theyre favorite teams. People even have furniture with their teams logos. It's crazy that you can buty all of these things.

  11. NCAA merchandise is everywhere now. A lot of people are wearing their favorite college teams merchandise. NCAA is big nationwide. March Madness is the second most watched.
The most eye-opening thing was that they made 3.8 million off of sales. They use the players and the players dont even get anything off of this. I think the players should get something out of it since they use the players to get their sales. If i could, I would say something and try to get something out of it.

  12. NCAA merchandise helps businesses score through revenue because of the consumer interest. College sports had a large fan base which are willing to pay and invest the game or teams they love. The merchandise they sell is popular so it creates profit for all the retailers who sell them. Fans of college teams want to represent their team so they purchase the teams merchandise which I good for businesses. Everything from the clothes and hats to the video games help businesses because the fans buy because of their love for the game.
I think it’s crazy that they made 3.8 billion off of sales. This is crazy because players don't get a penny of this and they use the players faces, names and everything to advertise the NCAA. Even when they sell games, the players don't get anything. The biggest challenge for merchandise manufacturers are distributing the items. The biggest challenge for the companies buying the ncaa licensing rights is affordability.

  13. The NCAA has been profited with their great sales for years. Fans help support the teams they love by purchasing all the presented merchandise. Furthermore, the NCAA has capitalized on the number of items they can license helping more and more businesses benefits. The brand names and logos are what capture the eye of the consumer and the NCAA just reaps all the benefits.

Its astonishing to see that people have spend over $400 worth of their clothes, primarily college related. A billion dollar industry on the backs of the fans. NCAA merchandise has accumulated almost as much as the NBA. They have made up to 3.9 billion dollars worth from the products sold.

  14. the first point is the sports company makes billions. most of the profits are from items
being sold at the games. they even sell pacifiers
with the teams on them. the money is estimated to make 9 billion dollars. the profits are even made after the game is over.

i think the manufacturers problem is decided what the costumers style is. they all ready will buy the jursey. the biggest selling item is the team shirts. i think they should change up the shirts style every year. buy doing that the costumer can collect the shirts every year then your profits will go up

  15. NCAA products has become a huge thing, and you can find it almost anywhere. This company has made up to billions during tournament times. Brand names and logos catch the eye of the customer and that helps out NCAA. Overall a basic point is that this tournament has turned the capital company into a huge business that sells pacifiers, hairdryers, and yes even caskets.

I think choosing your brand and logo is very important to who is going to buy your product. Because of the brand or logo some people prefer for example; Nike over Addidas. Also, some brands are more expensive and has nicer products than other. I think this plays a big role in the product and outcome.
