Technology experts have been saying for years—YEARS!—that our personal computers will one day be so small and powerful that we'll carry them around in our pockets. Motorola's Atrix 4G smartphone and laptop dock have gotten an early jump on that future.
It's a cool, albeit very, very expensive glimpse into a future where your smartphone is your main computer that you pop into various docking stations at home, in the car, and at the office.

I think that product will be a goood product because its light weight and can do any thing a computer can do and more.what i dont like is that it need the phone to work because if you lose the phone then the laptop will be very worth less. I think that the product will probably be good because it is good for people who travel alot and are alwways on the road.

A lot of consumers will like this product for its portability. Jobs are sometimes requiring you to bring a laptop to work everyday and with this smaller laptop, it could really lighten your load. However, the two major problems are durability and cost. New technologies are bound to be very expensive for the average person to buy. Also, if the phone were to be abused, will it be able to withstand more damage than your regular phone?
ReplyDeleteI feel that this phone will target people who work in jobs that require laptops. A lot of jobs now require the use of a computer during the day therefore it would be easier to carry something that portable. Also the consumer must make an average income to buy this product. It can also target those who enjoy new kinds of technology. This type of product will sell the best in the west because of all the wide varieties of consumers.

First of all, the Atrix 4G Smartphone and laptop dock is way too expensive. Having to pay $300-500 for a laptop you can’t use without the phone is ridiculous. It would also be a product I have to test before buying it (if I am insane enough to spend that much money on it, that is). I have a feeling there would be many flaws and probably not enough battery life for my liking.
ReplyDeleteThis product is definitely marketed towards the wealthy population. With a $500 purchase (and that’s if you buy both the netbook and the phone together) and a $45 data plan per month. That is a lot of money you are throwing away that year. That also doesn’t even include the other services like texting and calling. I think it could also be targeted to the industrialized places such as D.C. where everyone is always rushing and need products such as a phone with a laptop dock.

This product is amazing. It has a lot to do with the fact that you can plug in your Smartphone into its own laptop dock. I think that this product is going to hit the market hard. A lot of people, especially business people, will be willing to buy one of these phones with its laptop dock. What I like about this product is that its 1 in 2. You have your phone (which you can take anywhere and easier) and your laptop dock (which you can also take anywhere, but its not as easy). What I don’t like about this product is that the laptop would only work with one particular Smartphone not all Smartphone’s.
ReplyDeleteThe customer profile is targeted to all people, but especially business people. Business people are mostly the main people that go on trips for their jobs. Everybody else go on vacation trips or sometimes maybe for a job interview. I think that this product would mainly hit the west, because the west is where there are a lot of businesses (ex: Washington D.C and New York). The economy is low, but that won’t stop people from buying a great product like this one.

i think the costumers they want to reach are these who are already under there company phone plan. people who buy there phone get the laptop for 500 dollars.they seem to be targeting every age group from 13 and above. the low price make it affordable for anyone. its small so anyone can carry it for the younger people who buy the product.

I think that where technology is heading is interesting and cool but at the same time, I don’t see the point behind having your phone also be your laptop. I like the over all thought of the product and how creative and different it is, but I do not like the product as a whole and I personally would never buy it. I don’t see why anyone would, it is going to cost more to run a phone with texting, calling and now data to operate your docking device that looks and acts like a laptop when the phone is plugged in. Another reason I dislike it is because if anything happens to the phone then you’re screwed because without the phone the dock is useless and doesn’t work, and the phone is too over priced to afford purchasing another one. I’m sure that people out there that are tech savvy and have lots of money will be more than happy to buy it but for everyone else in the world it would just be a waste of money especially if you already have a laptop or desktop, you’re paying for internet Wi-Fi, and you already have a smart phone.
ReplyDeleteI think that this product will target business people that are always on a laptop or traveling so that they can have a portable light weight phone and docking station to bring with them rather than a heavy laptop. This would probably also be targeted to the general and the wealthier public because the general public would probably work and save to be able to get it while the wealthier people can just purchase it faster. This would also be advertised towards people that are big on having all the new technology that comes out, unfortunately it is coming out very rapidly making it hard to keep up.

This product might be a huge upgrade from all of the other phones but in my opinion I feel that it is a bit of a rip off and to overly priced. What if there were gltches and problems with the product and the store it was purchased from didn't except refunds.$1600 is a big loss to me.Also having to get the $45 plan with at&t is just burning a hole in your pocket. People have phones and laptops putting them together doesn't make much of a diffrence phones have web and laptops let you stay in touch with friends and family. The two po[roducts are already expensive I know the company is putting it together just to get more money out of us.

My thoughts on the product are it’s a very creative product! I’m pretty sure a lot of people will love this phone the Atrix and the laptop. I’m also pretty sure that the costumers would want the laptop to be able to do stuff without the phone! I like that the laptop charges your phone and that whatever you do on your phone you can do on the laptop. I dislike that you can’t turn the computer on without your charger! So what if your phone gets water damage or some else you know? I feel that YES, the product will be hot because it can do what all other phones can’t do.
ReplyDeleteThe phone is targeted to adults and teens because we are the ones mostly hipped to technology. Like my mom’s age doesn’t really care about a phone hooking to a laptop! They target us because teens always have the urge to get the newest phone out its just life. I mean who wouldn’t want a phone that comes with a laptop for the same price as just a regular HTC Android phone !

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on the Atrix 4G Smartphone and laptop dock I think it is a great ideal but the only problem is that it might cost too much in this bad economy. It’s great their trying to bring the future here faster but I know for sure if they sell it now they won’t get a lot of sells for it . But regarding the ideal it looks and sounds like a good idea the size and shape is great. To think that you can almost carry this around with like a small bag is cool. I think if they sell it at the right time and right price it will make a lot of money.

i think if they are coming out smartphone powered laptop that it may be to expensive for people to buy because there are always coming out with different technolgy and people always get at the price the think is right,if they want there their new smartphone powered laptop to be a sucess they need to be more considerate about their prices . i think that the smartphone will be a hot item when it people begin to see the cool feautres it has peeople wil be more interested in bring them .

I think that this phone is a good product. The price and everything sounds good to me, my phone that I currently have cost way more then the at&t phone, so it wouldnt hurt to get the laptop with the at&t phone. It seems so full of space and advanced technology. Some poeple way not be able to afford it, so that a minus. Over time the price is going to go down but at&t will have made the most money on it because they were the first to come up with this new invention. it will deffinetly be a hot topic, just like the ipad was, no one really needs it but they want it because it new and cooler then a regual phone that doesnt come with a laptop.

The Atrix sounds like a pretty cool phone, but too expensive. It’s really interesting how it’s exactly like a laptop but it fits in your pocket. But all cell phones with a data plan are really similar to a computer. I think it’s pointless with the really high price and the similarity to other phones. The dock that it charges on and what not costs more than the phone itself. The charging dock is about $500 by itself or $300 with the phone. And, the phone is $200 itself. I don’t believe this will be very popular, because like I said already like 10 times it’s just not that special and way too expensive.

Many jobs require daily use of the computer and it’ll make those who work life easier. The product is very expensive, so it’s for those who have a high income. This phone is mainly targeted to big cities with lots of businesses. Overall, this is just a pointless phone.

This is the first time that a product like Motorola's Atrix 4G smartphone and laptop dock. It is interesting to see something like this product, the only thing that will hold this product back would be the pricing of it. You have to pay a little more than I thought you would, both the phone and laptop, also you are required to add a $45-per-month AT&T data plan in order to be able to use the laptop dock. Which is sort of is a pain. I’m pretty sure that it will be a “hot product”. The reason is that it’s new and the first of its kind, people will like, which leads them to look at the product more. The only problem that people might have is that you need to have the phone in order for the laptop to work. That is down side of the product. Besides that, it looks like a great product for customers.

The two areas that will have more of the product will be here in the east and the west. That is where most people live and more stores.

I think this is a good idea since it pretty cool how you can connect the phone to the laptap. This a big step in the technology business. Many people are going to end up buying the product since many of things it can do will attract the eyes of the costumers I like it because it looks nice and cool. And yes I think this product is going to be hot since each time they make new technology they add really new cool ideas to amaze the costumers.

I think that the Motorola Atrix Smartphone is one the best idea because instead of Turing on the computer you have phone that can do that to you just connect to the back and it star to control everything. I like about this smart phone is that touch screen and it fit in your pocket and it very handy. And I really think this boost AT&T Company because it affordable for right now before the offer expires and they well is satisfying the customer needs and wants.
