  1. this video disscussed how the trade will impact the organization. they plan to do renovations to madison square garden. also how the ticket prices have nearly double since the trade has taken place. they also said that the season ticket holders that had already had season tickets could become very rich if they wanted to sell their tickets. this will bring a lot of money to the knicks organization.

i think there was to much media coverage on this. the amount of media coverage could influence the direction in which the player wants to go. i dont think that the NBA should institute an in-season trade police becuase when this happens it creates competition and excitement to the season. i think that this has been good for the NBA becasue no it may have added another team that is competitive or that will be able to win games. this type of competiton in my opinion adds another element to the season. a team that may have not been competitive may now be in the running for a championship.

  2. This video was about Carmelo Anthony and how he affects Madison Square graden. The video said that since Carmelo is know a Knick tickets have doubled in price because they have to pay his 72 million dollar salary. Also with with Amare salary which is like 92 million dollars and there doing renovations which will cause 800 million dollars they need money NOW. But since Melo is on the team they have a chance at being a contender in the playoffs. Also this will help Madison square garden because everyone wants the new melo jersey.

I personally thought he was going to the Nets but he did the right thing going to the knicks becuase he gets alot of money and the chance at the championship. I think there has been enough media coverage becuase this is a big deal he is one of the NBA top players. I think that NBA should not alloy any trades after the ALL-STAR break, thats my personal opinion. This process has not hur the image of the NBA if anything its brought more attention to it and people are watching more basketball games etc. Plus some sport teams dream about the attetion that the Nuggets, Nets, Knicks are getting its good for there image and its puts their name out there.

  3. i was talking about how season tickets for the knicks are going to fly through the roof. melo and stoudemire are going to bring big prices to madison square garden. the msg stock went up when the trade was made for melo. melo has brought the spotlight to NBC. i think that the season ticket holders is the biggest impact for the knicks.

it was a big deal because carmelo was a very good player of the nuggets. there was a lot of focus on who melo would go to. yeah i think there should be some type of trade deadline for players in the NBA. because then teams will start to lose there best players at the end of the year close to the playoffs, for the teams who didnt make the playoffs. i think that it wasnt a big impact to the NBA's image, or brand. i dont think that carmelo is that big of a player in the NBA.

  4. In the video they mainly talked about the economic side of the trade. They talked about how the main winners in this trade as far as the fans are the ones who laready hold season tickets. In just 24 hours the price for tickets went up 20 to 30%. the video also talked about and compared the amount of salary melo and amare will make and the renivation amount for the stadium. The team value also greatly increased. It was aalready high becuase the knicks is a stroied franchise in a big season.
The media was on this trade the day the rumour was announced. Melo is one of the biggest stars in the league and if there are anyrade talks about a player going to the knicks the media is going to be involved. No the NBA should not limit in season trades because that can ruin the game. Teams make a trade to make a late push into the playoffs. it makes it excitining. This trade is huge for the NBA and will bring alot of money to the knicks and Madison Square Garden.

  5. This video is using CNBC to welcome Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks. Carmelo's move has brought a turn up of things for fans at Madison Square Garden. The price of each ticket has really drawn most of the attention to the knicks. Comparisons between Carmelo and past legends that have played for the knicks. Merchandising as well for melo's new team is sure to be a hit as well.

His deal with the salary negotiations are rather daunting and I feel Carmelo will not leave as big of a footprint in Madison Square Garden as he would like. He is a star player, but the media coverage is way more severe than it should be. This is a pretty big step for the knicks, but I don't think the media should be focusing on this NBA trade among other things happening in the world today. The NBA should be free to allow in season trades, as long as both teams agree this a good decision to make. I feel like this looks bad on the nba image for its brand, because if players keep changing teams, the jerseys they wear will change causing less to people to buy the jersey of the team they are on now because they figure they will just be traded again anyways. For example, Lebron James I believe is looking to play on the same team as Amare Stoudemire. I feel bad for the person who spent the time and money on getting an James heat jersey.

  6. Carmelo Anthony is an excellent basketball who just got traded to the NEW YORK KNICKS. He has been in the New York area when he was with Syracuse, so there shouldn't be any adjustment for him. Some key points in the cnbc news report was Carmelo's salary how much he was getting, if the news or media hyped his performance when he was entering New York, his performance in college, and how long he's staying with the New York Knicks. I believe that the media shouldn't have hyped about Carmelo coming to New York because there were some other trades during the time Carmelo was signing with the Knicks. Carmelo is a good athlete but the media shouldn't have hyped about his trade.

Although Carmelo was getting all the attention from the media, there were some other people that were being traded too. I think that the media were too focus about Carmelo's trade. Before Lebron James was getting all the attention about him leaving Cleveland but now I think Carmelo Anthony is getting all the attention about his trade with the New York Knicks. I also believe that the NBA should institute some type of rule that would limit in-season trades because everyday in espn or any type of news they would talk about Carmelo and his trade. This whole trading process was bad for the NBA image because they hyped his performance and his trade.

  7. Madison square garden increase stock 1.7% in the first hour of the trade going down with melo. Carmelo Anthony’s salary is $72 million dollar and Amare Stoudemire has a $99.7 million dollar salary and the Madison square garden have a $800 million arena renovation. All this money the Knicks are putting into the team and arena will pay off soon and prices have already gone up. In the first hour the tickets for the rest of the year went up in price 20 to 30%. The real winners are the season ticket holders already because if they chose to give up their seats they can make lots of money.
The trade was discussed even before the season so people knew about the trade and the possibility of Carmelo becoming a Knick. Yes there was a lot of focus on the trade by the media but not too much because Carmelo is a big time player and it deserves that amount of media coverage. The NBA should not institute some type of rule that would limit in-season trades because they already have a trade deadline and if a player doesn’t want to play for a team anymore or if it’s not working they deserve to be traded. This whole process has been good for the NBA with more media coverage more people want to watch and that just helps out the NBA in every way.

  8. This video is about Carmelo Anthony going to the Knicks and how he affects the organization. Melo has brought more fans to the garden. He's being paid $72 million for three years. Also they're investing $800 million on renovations for the arena. Season tickets are also being sold now already so that the organization can get more money and tHe also they will be making more money. Amare, Melo and Chauncey will be bringing a lot more tickets to the arena.
I think the media has had a lot of focus on this trade. Even at the all star game Melo was swarmed with questions about the trade. Its similar to the Miami Heat trade bu't Melo doesn't have as big as a fan base as Lebron does. Yes, the NBA should institute a trade deadline because teams are just stacking their talent and its not as competitive. Its been good for the NBA image because they've probably gotten more viewers and NBA fans. But its been bad for the NBA because its turning into an AAU league and its not as competitive, Teams are just stacked.

  9. Carmelo “Melo” Anthony has just been traded to the New York Knicks. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets and played with them for about seven years. He grew up in the Baltimore Maryland area and he played college ball at Syracuse University in New York. Melo felt it was time to come back home and with his multi-million dollar contract close to an end the trade rumors started to spark the network. The biggest key point is the combined fact that his contract was near an end and that he wanted to come back home. The Nuggets knew that if they couldn’t force him to resign for 3 years then he would leave them in the off season. The Nugget GM and association decided that it would benefit them to trade Melo while they can receive multiple players or draft picks in return.
In my opinion I’m excited about the trade. My brother played for Team Melo, an AAU team sponsored by Carmelo Anthony and now that he will be a lot closer he may be able to help my brother and we may be able to see more of Melo’s games or even see a few live. I’m also excited because he is in the East now. I believe the East All-Stars are going to be great for years to come because over this trade frenzy the East has acquired a few more All Stars that were previously in the West. The media doesn’t focus too much on the subject. The entire Sports Nation wants to be up to date on these types of situations. It’s actually like a marketing or promotion feature for the sport itself. I’m sure more people who usually wouldn’t watch games will now watch just because the big attention it received. No there shouldn’t be a limit on trades. The teams have the right to do what’s best for their team. They already have a trade deadline implemented in the NBA and that is enough. Like I said this is good for the NBA there has recently been some big trades that have happened and the mover media places attention in the subject, the more fans get involved and it keeps them suspense.

  10. This video is mostly talking about how stocks changed after the Carmelo Anthony trade. The five key points would have to be the Madison Square Garden stocks, the Knicks will make 100 millon dollars from tickets, Carmelo will be paid $72M, ticket prices went up 20-30%, and season ticket holders can sell tickets for a lot. The biggest key point is that ticket prices went up 20-30% an hour after he was traded. This means that the Knicks will make a lot more money and season ticket holders just made a bunch of money too. If a season ticket holder decides to not go to a game he/she can make a lot of profit.

There was a lot of talk about the trade leading up to it. Everyone knew Carmelo was going to be traded but nobody really knew where and that gave the media a lot to talk about. There wasn't too much talk about it though but it was discussed. The NBA's trading deadline prevents in-season trades from happening too late in the year and i think thats good. There's no need for new rules to prevent in-season trades. I think it's good for the NBA's image because the Knicks, which are a historic franchise, have a real shot at winning the NBA championship.

  11. This video was about the Carmelo Anthony trade. He got a good deal when he signed with the Knicks because hes now getting 72 million for a 3 year deal while Amare gets 99 for a longer period of time. I think thats the biggest impact on Carmelos behave. Most players just look at the money.

    TAMER KHWEIS

I think there was too much media coverage on Melo going to the Knicks but also at the same time i see why. Carmelo is one of the best in the game so im not surprised hes all over the news. I thought he was going to go to the Lakers but its better he went to the Knicks. He wouldnt fit in with the Lakers. So overall the whole trade thing with Melo was a good idea. Hes a better fit with the Knicks.

  12. Promotion is a key point. It has a big role in the whole Carmelo Anthony thing going on right now. I say this because a lot of the media is going out promoting how is going to the Knicks to play for them and when his first game is suppose to be. So really that has everything to do with it. It has a big impact on it too because it’s hyping everything up at the
moment but they don’t even know if it true or not.

I think there has been to much focus on the trade by the media because it hasn’t happened yet and they are already hyping the situation up. No I don’t think the NBA should have a limit to trades per year because if a team wants to establish their team to be dominate then let them go ahead and do that, but if so let everybody do the same too. It really hasn’t been good nor bad its like the Knicks fans are going to be happy but the nuggets fans are going to be stressed cause they are losing one of their best players.

  13. This video talked about how the trade will impact the organization. The ticket prices have doubled ever since the trade! They said that the people who have season tickets could become very rich if they wanted to sell their tickets. This trade will bring a lot of money for the Knicks and could make them wealthy. Also the video mentioned that they will make Madison square Garden better, newer, it will be renovated.

I think there has been too much coverage by the media and there should be a limit. Although it is a big deal that Carmello Anthony is being traded, i think it could affect him to change his decision This whole process of trading has not been good for the NBA since these all stars are coming together and the teams they are leaving will have a great loss, It is good for one team and bad for another. I think there should be a rule in the NBA limiting trades so no one team becomes too wealthy, or have too many all stars. It makes it so only a couple of teams are great and people only will see them play. I don't really like it but it also make the NBA a little more interesting
