BMW Germany Makes Logo Appear Inside Cinema Audience's Eyelids

Photo Flash Technology Creates After Image Visible When Eyes Are Closed

At this point, the audience sees an after-image of the brand that has been created by the flash. The letters "BMW" appear before them, in the same way that you might see a bright spot if you had been looking at the sun and then closed your eyes.

  1. This technique of advertising is extremely unique. I have yet to hear of it before nowordinary . I like that it is so unfamiliar. Due to this fact, people will be more likely to remember to this company and will possibly buy their product. I don't dislike anything about this advertising technique. It seems to have many qualifications that will stick out to the consumer, which could lead to a more profitable product. There's nothing bad about that.

    This advertising technique can be used by any company. Unfortunately, the more it is used the less unordinary it will seem and it will become normal for people to see it. At first, this technique will be very profitable for the companies that use it. People will most likely view the company as innovative and advanced. Any company can endulge in this new discovery, but the more common it is used the less special it will be.

  2. That's actually pretty cool. It's a more advance and technological way to advertise products and it gives the company a chance to experiment things, but i believe it will have it's down fall. People , base on the reviews the articles have gotten , see it as brainwashing , since it's getting into peoples eyes / their vision.

    I see it , as entertainment. It shouldn't be use to advertise things , but to entertain the audience. Like example ,the comment BrownCowStudios post it on the article. I agree that it would do great in amusements parks , games or even 3D movies but in the automotive world , it's really not that exciting .

    Anyways , 3D glasses get annoying at times , so why not try this for a movie instead? Then , people can see this advertising techique differently and not call it subliminal.

  4. I think this advertisement is cool because I have never seen it before or heard of any other companies doing this. It is pretty cool how the audience pictures the BMW before their eyes, but at the same time this is risky because it does make u have the feeling of when you are driving and the sun is in your eyes that feeling is not good at all for me, having a flash back.

    I think this type of advertising is only good for automobile and electronics because these things are values that are high which as other things such as cosmetics wouldn’t be such a good idea because cosmetics is not a high value items, and people buy these things on a daily basis, as of electronics and cars people buy every couple of years, and those are the businesses that should advertise creatively so that they can sell and catch the audiences attention.

  5. I think that it is good for the advertisers to use this, but as always there will be a problem with it, and somebody will sue. Because they will say that it is like brainwashing a person into seeing what you want them to see. I liked how, that it actually worked and the people saw the logo of BMW in their heads. Also this is a new form of advertising so i think that some people will like it and some people, will not again to the peoint of brainwashing. I also think that it is very creative and that many people will remember the company for this form of advertising.

    In my opinion i think that if one industry uses this then it would be ok, because if you are watching a show you do not want to be flashed from every commercial. I think that it would work for both becasue all you need is a logo to do this and every company has a logo. But most of all i think that it would work for the automotive industry more, because people will want to buy the car after they see this.

  6. This form of advertisement is very unique and different, who would have thought that a company could literally get into the minds of their consumers. This particular advertisement will leave the product in the consumer mind, after they have watched the commercial. This is a little more effective, has they can be thinking about the product, even after they left the theater, and might take that product into consideration to make a purchase.I dislike the fact that the projection burning into the consumers heads, can be compared to looking at the sun, and then closing your eyes. I hope it does not have any after effects after seeing the commerical.

    This form of advertising should be used in other industries, if the BMW commerical was a success and was completly safe. Having this form of advertising could potentially help some business and could get some industries to be better. It would work for the technology industry as well as it worked for the automotive industry, because the technology industry could possibly make it better and could get it a little more advance.

  7. I think the commercial was a cool idea. But I don’t see how it will help with sales. The only thing new with the commercial was it was black and white. Other than that the commercial pretty much seems the same to me. Nothing was exciting nothing was new. It just seemed like a regular old commercial to me. I think BMW over thought the commercial. The commercial doesn’t even work.

    I honestly think it’s a cool idea. But dumb at the same time. It doesn’t work. I’ve tried this commercial was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard and saw. This technology would be awesome if it worked, but it doesn’t. It would be useless if you can’t use the technology on the tv and it has to be in a certain venue or something.

  8. The usage of this marketing technique is fairly new and highly interesting because no one else has done this before. My first impression was the usage of incorporating meaningful phrases which capture your attention. It is very dynamic and unique unlike an other. I like that the commercial stood out from other auto makers. It will surely be effective in attracting consumers. There was nothing i didn’t like about the commercial.

    This type of advertising should be used for this industry because it could surely benefit from it. It would surely work better for the auto industry just because they are able to mess around with advertising. Auto industries have a wider market range and targets so they can be cater there advertisements to there needs. Technology shouldn't do this because it would seem like brainwashing. This works for the auto simply because it embroiders the company into the consumers mind.

  9. I think that this is pretty cool way to advertize the BMW brand, because nobody was expecting to see the BMW’s name after they closed their eyes. This is actually the first time I have seen a big company do this type of advertisement for their product, the only thing I think is wrong with this is that when you open your eyes again you can still see the BMW’s name and it kind makes your eyes hurt.

    I think that this type of advertisement might work for both types automobile industry and for technology industry, because people want to see new type of advertisement rather than just a commercial. By try new thing it might attract more people to buy their products.

  10. I have never seen anythign like this before. It is a new cool way to get it in peoples heads. If it puts it in peoples heads they are going to be more willing to buy a BMW becuase they will be thinking about it. I like the fact that it is new and i havent seen it better. I dont have any dislike for this idea.

    I feel that they will make a lot of money this way. If people are trying to pick between two types of cars they will be more likely to buy a BMW. If it worked for everyone on T.V. as well it would make them a lot more money. I liked this ads and this idea.
