  1. I think adding this technology to the stadium is a smart idea. I doubt people would pay more per ticket to use these things. I know i wouldnt pay more per ticket unless i knew for a fact i would use the technology. If i pay more than i normally do for something i probably wont use its pointless to spend money on.
Wifi is the best technology they are adding. atleast to me. People that own iPods, iPhones and other things that can connect to wifi to go on the web, are lucky if they add wifi because then they can check stuff like player stats. Also i like to brag about scores when my team is winning so for people to have the ability to post scores to peoples facebook walls and update my status to brag about my team.

  2. Adding this inovated technology to the arena is a great idea, it would draw attention to many people. It would be a big investment, but in time would pay off because the crowd would get bigger. They shouldn't increase ticket prices to every ticket though because thats not fair to the people that are there to just watch the game. They should have certain types of tickets that allow you to do certain things, like use the technology.
I like the fact that they're are putting 1,100 televisions in the arena. This can be a way to advetise many products and stuff they're selling in the arena or broadcast the game for people that have to miss a couple minutes of the live game to go get food. I don't really like the facebook thing much, it just dopesn't appeal to me, but the fact that they'll have wifi is great.

  3. I think the technology that Orlando Magic has put into the Amway Center is a great thing. With all the new technology they will attract many more customers and could even profit from selling the Wi-Fi and other devices that utilize the new stadium. Orlando will have so many places to advertise their new stadium tech. They are on Facebook and probably twitter; this could only benefit their team and business.

The piece of technology that appeals to me most is the Wi-Fi, it would allow me to surf the net while watching games. I could check stats or just play games on a laptop or iPod. My least favorite would be the 1100 televisions inside the stadium; I don’t believe that many TVs are necessary. They could’ve had 500 televisions and have all of that money to go towards the actual team.

  4. Orlando Magic Amway Center

Orlando’s new Amway Center is not only the new home of the Orlando Magic. It is now “the most technologically advanced building in North America,” according to that one dude from Forbes. They built in a lot of TVs, Wi-Fi, and internet applications to make the fans experience that much better. They installed very spacious seats, but most importantly used the internet as a tool to make the fans experience better in the way that they have unparalleled access to the game and other things around the world at once. I’m sure because it is basketball, the ticket prices will be cheaper than that of football, and the fans will most likely be able to afford it.

I think this is big for Orlando to want to give Magic fans a chance to enjoy their team in a new state of the art facility. This can bring a winning attitude to a new building, based on the fact that they are an above average team, falling just short of the NBA Finals when they got DESTROYED, DESTROYED by the Boston Celtics. The team longs for a Conference championship team, and maybe the increased revenue from the new marketing techniques will enable them to keep prime time players. I think this is a very good thing not only for the Orlando Magic, but basketball as a sport.

  5. I think adding technology is a good idea since now everything has changed with technology over the years. I think the fans that use it will be happy to use this technology at the stadium and other technology that will be available. I think other stadium in any sports like the nfl, nhl and mlb should all do this. Know that they have this all the fans could look up all the other sport scores of their other favorite teams or rival teams to see how they are doing or if they just want to be on the internet as they watch the game. I personally would rather watch the game than be on the internet could not do both at the same time.

Wifi is the most appealing to me because you can use the internet on your ipod touch instead of having to get on a compuer. Sure the ipod is not as big as a desktop buot it tends to be faster than the computer it takes like no time to load. There really is no non appealing technology I think that all of technology is great also its all fun to use.

  6. In today’s society technology is an essential tool. The Orlando Magic have mad a great decision in making their new stadium tech friendly. Wifi is very important because many people have smart phones and they will be able to connect whenever they are at a game. This is basically free advertising. Fans will be able to change their Facebook statuses, tweet a picture, or text a friend. Many people will wonder why the ticket prices have gone up but once they see this new facility and how nice it is I do not think they will mind.

Wifi and TV screens are the most important technologies in the new stadium. Wifi gives thousands of fans availability to any website in which they can promote the Magic. This is free advertising. TV screens are also very essential because if a fan is at the game they don’t want to miss any of the action. If a fan wants to go get a drink or use the restroom they do not want to miss anything big .

  7. New technologys are being created for Orlando magics stadiums. they are incorperating Wifi into the stadiums. This will make them profit more and it will make fans and athletes alot happier because they will have access to more things such as internet.
I think that Wifi is a good thing because it will give fans a better choice of what to do. Also it gives more of a mass appeal to the stadium and the players. If they create new technology such as bette screens or such it will bring in more profit and make fans happier.

  8. I think that the upgrade in technology at the Amway Arena is a good thing. It will not give the Arena a completely new look but it will sort of upgrade the company to looking more official and working more efficiently. If it were me I would be willing to pay a couple extra dollars on my ticket for it. But if I was going to a game to sit in the nosebleeds I wouldn’t feel that I should pay any more money on my ticket. I think that really the only people whose ticket prices should change are those who are actually using the technology. It’s like punishing a whole group for something that one person did. It’s not right; the areas like the suites and boxes with actual TVs in them should have to pay more for that new addition.
The thing that appealed the most to me about the new technology addition was the adding of many Televisions throughout the arena. On top of that they also added two hi-def HD TVs to each box. The new technology that the servers in the Arena that can allow every TV in the arena tune into a different program is a great new modification. It is so you can be at a Magic game in your box watching the game but you can be watching the NFL playoffs at the same time. It gives the fans an amount of freedom that wasn’t there before. The least appealing new upgrade was the Wi-Fi throughout the arena. If you are at a basketball game which you are paying money to go to you should not be on the internet working or things of that sort you should be watching the game which you paid money to go see.

I believe adding all of this technology is great. Times are changing, as are we. We need to move along with technological advances as they come about, and this includes sports facilities as well. This is also better for the customer and fans that go to these games, they’ll leave the arena with a brand new perception and experience of what a basketball game can be like. I would certainly be willing to pay the extra ticket fee, from the looks of it, it would be totally worth it. They should be rewarded a little extra for providing the opportunity to experience a high-tech arena such as this one.
The technology that really interests me is the ability to have totally different channels on all 1100 monitors in the arena. I can’t even imagine how they managed to do that, but kudos. The design of the actual arena is incredible, and the inside is really nice as well. The technology that least appeals to me is the wi-fi available. Wi-Fi is nothing new, but then again it’s still awesome that they were able to include that in there.

  10. In todays society technology is everything. We base our lives off of whose tweet comes next, and who is liking our status' on facebook, technology is a main part of our everyday life. I believe that it is very benificial for the arena to have all this new technology because it raises the entertainment factor. I personally would pay evtra money for a ticket that included all of these new features, but i dont think it should be manditory. Older folks who go to watch games dont really care about facebook and wifi, all they want to do is watch a game. So in that instants i believe it should be an opition to have a regular seat without the technology.
The thing that appeals most to me would have to be the T.V's sometimes if you are sitting so far away from the actual court you cant see whats going on, or if you have bad eyesight it could be difficult to see. With televisons added it would make everyone be able to actually see the game no matter where you sit. Wifi is an added feature that i dont believe is necessary. If you are at the game you should be paying attention to the game, and most people have internet on their phone anyway so they dont even need wifi.

  11. I think all this new technology is a good thing. It can only improve the fan experience, because I don’t think it can ruin it in any way. Anything to enhance the fan experience will ultimately be successful. The higher ticket cost could be a problem though. It depends on how much higher the price is. If it’s like ten dollars more then I don’t think fans will really mind paying that. The prices are pretty crazy. Ten dollars won’t make much of a difference.
The technology that I like the most is the one that the man was talking about at the very end, the one that gives fans live feedback through a social network type thing. It sounds pretty interesting. The least appealing tech is having a thousand screens that display information in the stadium. If you wanted game info wouldn’t you just watch the game? I don’t really see the point.

  12. The Amway arena is a very people friendly place because of all the technological additions. The new arena is filled with many activities for both children and adults. The new additions must have been quite costly so an increase in ticket price was necessary. All in all I believe that the technology advancement was a smart business move because when you keep your consumers happy chances are they’ll keep coming back.

Because of the technology advancement in Amway arena it is only necessary to increase the price of tickets. Personally I would not like to pay more for tickets because to me it’s all about the game. I am not concerned with all the new features of the arena I’m there only to watch the game. But overall most people would so I say that increasing ticket prices would be a success. In the end it’s all about the fans.

  13. I think that it is a good idea because we are in the digital age right now. I feel that it is a good idea because people are getting smarter and there is more technology coming out. I wouldn't mind paying extra because I might have an item that I can use when I get there. Also I could watch the game from all the TVs that they are going to have in the area. The technology that I would probably use would be WiFi,TV,Video games. What I like about it is that I can have fun while watching the game. Also that during half time when there are a lot of people i can just chill where I am using the internet or watching TV. If its least appealing then I wouldn't know about it because I want something that is good and that will last. If they use bad appealing technology people will be less likely to go and to use that product.

  14. I believe that adding all this technology to AMWAY arena is a great thing. In this digital age that we are in, technology is in constant use and in constant demand. An arena that uses technology to watching the game more efficient is likely to have a lot of success. This would not make me want to spend the extra money on tickets if I am not going to use the technology. Technology is only a bonus if the customer is actually going to use it.
The Televisions that they added throughout the arena is what appeals to me the most. The ability to go to the restroom or go out to grab some nachos without missing any of the game is very appealing. Plus in the age of constant replay, it is an added bonus to see big plays that just occurred. The Wi-Fii internet access that was put into the arena does not appeal to me. Personally I do not have a laptop, nor do I wish to use the internet at a basketball game, but for statisticians or newspaper analysts, I am sure the Wi-Fi is an added bonus.

  15. I think that a high tech arena is a good idea. It will be able to keep up with technonology. I think that with this new stadium they will be able to expand their fan base. Because of all of the new technology in the arena more people will want to come see the stadium. The new stadium is a good idea.
I really like the fact that it will have wifi connectivity, which some stadiums still don’t have. I also like how the whole arena could be run from an ipad. I think that it is really interesting how this is possible. I think that the number of televisions they put in the stadium is a little too many. 1100 televisions is unnecessary.

  17. I think that the technology they are adding to the arena is a good idea for the fans because, it adds that extra wow factor to the experience of coming to see the game. I think that fans will enjoy having these extra attractions at their hands and they will enjoy being able to stay connected with the players while there at the game. I also think that fans will be willing to pay the extra ticket fee for all of this, because they are getting more than they expected to get. This new change to the arena sounds like a big jump for the organization and should pay off for them.
Out of all of the new technology they are adding to the arena, I think that the newly added Wi-Fi feature is the most appealing. Being able to watch the game while updating your social network on what is going on, to me is a great way to attract fans to the games. Whether you have an iPod or an iPod, you will be able to experience the full effect of this new innovation. Out of all the newly added technology, with all of them being very good, I think that the multiple televisions they added is something they could’ve done without. I think that the fans would rather watch the game outside on the court than on a flat screen television. But with that said, I think that all of the Orlando magic fans will enjoy their experience this season and will hopefully keep coming back for more.

  18. i think what the Orlando Magic is doing is good. we live in an era where technology is advancing fast. we need to use it in our everyday life. technology allows us to do many things, and it is very important for a business, like the Orlnado Magic. I would not be willing to pay higher ticket prices for something that i did nto ask for. i think that the Magic should pay it out of their own pockets, not the fan's pockets.

the most appealing technology is Wifi. Many devices like itouchs and ipads need wifi to use the internet.Going to a game while posting something on facebook is a good idea. wifi should be everywhere because you need it all the time, like schools. Also it should be free.

  19. I think adding this technology to the stadium is a smart idea. I doubt people would pay more per ticket to use these things. I know i wouldnt pay more per ticket unless i knew for a fact i would use the technology.i think its a risk factor to increase ticket because fans won't go.people want to go to a place were they can afford.

I think that Wifi is a good thing because it will give fans a better choice of what to do.iPhones and other things that can connect to wifi to go on the web, are lucky if they add wifi because then they can check stuff like player stats. If they create new technology such as bette screens or such it will bring in more profit and make fans happier. if fans are happy more fan will come.

  20. All of this technology being put into all of these stadiums really makes the experience so much more memorable. I think it is a good idea because this everything is more interactive with the fans and it makes the stadium look nice. I would be willing to pay an increased ticket price for the new available technologies throughout the stadium. I would do this because I think the experience would be much better at the stadium with the technology.

The new technology in the new stadium seems like it is spreading a new idea when building a stadium. I think it is very appealing because when putting all of the rooms together, it looks good, and it’s comfortable. I think the Wi-Fi is less appealing to me because soon you will have some kids in suites on computers playing on laptops that will be provided, the stadiums will become more and more like you’re actual home, which would be nice to have that access but I can soon see it being abused by children of wealthy descent and just playing video games.

  21. My thoughts on the all this technology is good, because it would attract more fans to the arena. It would make the arena and the team more popular than it already was. I feel this way, because as a sports fan I would like my team’s arena/stadium to have all this new technology to be in it. I wouldn’t pay for a high priced ticket for technology I wouldn’t, because what would be the point of buying a ticket if you’re not going to use the technology. To me it wouldn’t be fair to other people who pay so much to watch their team and use the new technology if they are not even going to use it.
The technology that appeals to me the most is the free WIFI. I like the fact that they are adding the free WIFI, because many fans that have IPods would like to use them during the game. Many fans might like to use their IPods to hear or watch the game while being at the game, because (maybe) they would want to hear it on the radio. The fact of adding 1,100 televisions in the arena is not so great, because what is the point of adding so many televisions in the arena if everyone would likes to see the game live. With so many televisions inside the arena, some people would rather watch the game at home and not come to the arena, and that would lose money for the team as well as the arena/stadium.

  22. I think that fans will love this new stadium. I think that it is the best idea since the automobile. Of course that doesn’t have to do with sports, I know. It just means that the best thing for fans is to keep them entertained. Though, I would not pay a lot more to have seats if I can just enjoy it on Facebook. The screens however, are amazing. I have to think that whoever thought of this is the smartest guy. The tech stuff, not the owner. That makes me want to pay the overpriced tickets. Or I would just own the Magics. Done.
I think the WIFI would just be a waste. Are you going to be surfing the web while you’re watching the game. I do however like the integrated TV system. That is amazing in itself! I also like the idea of Facebook coverage on the game. That is great. It would be almost as good as just watching it on TV. I think that I would watch from Facebook and comment on “Hey man! Did you touch my drumset? Hey knock it off! Why are you so sweaty? I was watching Cops. You’re lying, cause I know, Cops doesn’t start till four!” That kind of stuff on Facebook is great. That is a great promotion for both NBA and Facebook. Also, I would like to see Jackass 3D. That was a great promotion on Facebook’s part.

  23. Adding technology to the arena is both good and bad. I believe its good because its beneficial to both the organization and the fans. I also believe it’s a bad thing because adding all of this technology might cause an increase in ticket sale price. I wouldn’t be willing to pay extra money for a ticket because of some new technologies that I might not even use. All I need to watch the game is me and my chair. There’s no point in spending extra money for something I might not even use.

The technology that appeals to me most is the new advanced facebook page. I like how it had instant coverage on games and scores. I also love how its almost like you’re at the game or you’re in the team meeting because it also informs you about team transactions and team decisions. The least appealing technology is the one with new messages on every TV. Its least appealing because I don’t have time to sit there and read messages on TV.
